Our community takes action to defend democratic values around the world. Explore our Fellows' Action Projects here.
In the 11 months following the on-site or virtual Fellowship program, our Fellows work on their Action Project: an independent venture focused on promoting democratic values in their own communities. Action Projects are as diverse as Humanity in Action Fellows. Fellows apply their new knowledge and perspectives to the communities they impact—in whatever format they find meaningful. The Humanity in Action community is a great resource for getting support—be it with contacts, experience or good advice. A Little Background Story of the Colorful Inhabitants of the Netherlands
Since the 17th century, the world has significantly diversified with the acceleration of globalization. With this new era of evolution, mass movements have brought great cultural, racial and ethnic diversity within our communities. Indeed, while diversity reigns over our populations, social inclusion has, on its end, made slower progress. For Senior Fellow Stijn Ettes, the aim of his Action Project has been to educate younger generations on acceptance and equality.

As her Action Project, Senior Fellow Chryssa Mela organized a seminar series on Law and Racism in cooperation with @Generation 2.0 and Anasa Cultural Center. This seminar engaged Greek law school students and recent graduates with institutional racism in the Greek legal context.

Noor co-organized two university-based outreach initiatives to extend educational opportunities in the city of Bristol in the United Kingdom.

Broadening Our Scope: Trainings for local NGO volunteers in Thessaloniki
Senior Fellow Sofia Koudouni organized training seminars for volunteers of local non-governmental organizations in Thessaloniki. The trainings raised awareness on various topics such as veganism, zero and low waste tactics, work ethics, and life in the Roma community.

Senior Fellow Walid Ahmed Khan Malik organized two online empowerment dinners and dialogues featuring inputs from experts on racial violence.
