In the 11 months following the on-site or virtual Fellowship program, our Fellows work on their Action Project: an independent venture focused on promoting democratic values in their own communities. Action Projects are as diverse as Humanity in Action Fellows. Fellows apply their new knowledge and perspectives to the communities they impact—in whatever format they find meaningful. The Humanity in Action community is a great resource for getting support—be it with contacts, experience or good advice. Stories of Womanhood
Stories of Womanhood is een initiatief van Sharona Badloe en Sophia Blijden over de kracht van een persoonlijk verhaal. Na een eerste succesvolle editie van Stories of Womanhood in Amsterdam is hun Action Project inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een complete serie en platform dat vrouwen verbindt en in staat stelt hun eigen stem te vinden.

Detroit Fellow Sofia Avramopoulou's Action Project shared oral stories to help with community building and cohesion in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Diary Keepers
Research Fellow Nina Siegal is an Amsterdam-based New York Times journalist who has frequently covered Nazi-looted art restitution and other World War II related topics for the newspaper. She has now expanded the project into a book within the book she will publish diaries from the Holocaust time, which are telling the story of the war from multiple, but often overlapping, perspectives.
