Our community takes action to defend democratic values around the world. Explore our Fellows' Action Projects here.
In the 11 months following the on-site Fellowship program, our Fellows work on their Action Project: an independent venture focused on promoting democratic values in their own communities. Action Projects are as diverse as Humanity in Action Fellows. Fellows apply their new knowledge and perspectives to the communities they impact—in whatever format they find meaningful. The Humanity in Action community is a great resource for getting support—be it with contacts, experience or good advice.
Catcalling in the streets of Athens

Senior Fellow Yasmin Hoffmann created The White Rose Remembrance Project: "And yet their spirit lives on," determined to uphold the remembrance of the resistance group and remind society how important it is to defend democratic values.

Importance of effective communication with government institutions as means of being an active member of democratic society
By creating this innovative tool Bosnian Fellows educated participants in an interactive and fun way about the very complex political system in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Fellows then channeled their questions into creative energy to build an art-meets-activism "artivism" campaign to address the politicized and charged borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, more specifically, of Sarajevo.
