Mission & History

en English

Humanity in Action Denmark aims to educate future leaders and ensure that human rights are a focal point in national, international and transatlantic relations.

Humanity in Action Denmark has hosted transatlantic educational programs since 1997. These programs centered on the history of the Holocaust and the exceptional case of the rescue of the Danish Jews, and were created in cooperation with Herbert Pundik, former editor-in-chief of Danish daily Politiken and former chairman of Humanity in Action Denmark, and Judith Goldstein, executive director of Humanity in Action. These programs have now evolved into the annual Copenhagen Fellowship program, which explores human rights, diversity and issues pertaining to relationsships between majorities and minorites in Denmark.

Apart from the Copenhagen Fellowship, Humanity in Action Denmark now also arranges conferences, educational seminars, and workshops for the broader public.
