New York Conference
When: Saturday, October 18, 2014
Where: The New School, 55 West 13 Street, Second Floor, New York, NY 10011
Inspired by the Humanity in Action International Conference, the New York Conference is a regional gathering for Senior Fellows and friends of Humanity in Action.
The 2014 conference explored the theme of cities and human rights in urban environments. The event featured a full day of thought-provoking speakers, professional skills trainings, a Senior Fellow reunion dinner and many opportunities to meet and reconnect with friends of Humanity in Action.
The conference returned to The New School for the second year in a row. Humanity in Action collaborated this year with design faculty from The New School to develop a number of workshops on advancing the careers of Senior Fellows. Celebrated storytellers The Moth also returned to host a workshop on the art of telling a narrative.
For details on speakers and subjects from previous New York Conferences, see below.
Humanity in Action thanks The New School for its support of the 2014 New York Conference. Humanity in Action also thanks Heather Lord, The Moth and the many individuals who have made the New York Conference possible through their contributions and volunteer support.
