HIA Senior Fellows Elma Mahmutović and Harun Gadžo Implement the Intercultural Navigators Program in Sarajevo

HIA Senior Fellows Elma Mahmutović and Harun Gadžo, in a partnership with the British Council, have implemented an exciting new program in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Intercultural Navigators project is running in 18 European countries and provides training to participants for navigating easily within and between different cultures.

The group in Sarajevo had 28 members, who were active in youth organizations and in their local communities. The participants were encouraged to critique their respective organizations and develop strategies for improvement. The focus was on communication strategies, both for leadership positions and for more casual settings, and a heavy emphasis was put on leadership in the form of inspiration and positive reinforcement.
