HIA Senior Fellow Tamar van Gelderen Develops Education Photography Program, Launches Website

A Piece of Mine is an educational photography project for early teens that focuses on the identity formation and development of children who grow up in environments with strong social and cultural conflicts, such as Israel.

The program was developed by HIA Senior Fellow Tamar van Gelderen (2008) as part of her fellowship with HIA, and consists of photography workshops, seminars on identity and art, study trips, and a culminating exhibition of the students' work.
