HIA to Host Workshop with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights
Humanity in Action is pleased to announce a call for applications for a special workshop, organized in partnership with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).
FRA will host a workshop with HIA Senior Fellows and participants from other Vienna-based organizations. The workshop will look closely at the current narrative on human rights in Europe, with a particular focus on exploring how today's discourse might be improved through innovative communications strategies. The output of the workshop will be to present the FRA with actionable recommendations for using these strategies to better serve its stakeholders across Europe, including HIA.
The workshop will take place at the FRA headquarters in Vienna, from June 24 to 26, 2011.
HIA welcomes applications from Senior Fellows and representatives of Vienna-based organizations who are professionally involved in human rights work or the media, arts and advanced academic study. Applicants must be prepared to think creatively and boldly about human rights concepts and communications. Applications are due April 15, 2011. Participants will be responsible for the cost of their transportation and accommodations.
