Humanity in Action Launches Five Professional Fellowships
Humanity in Action is pleased to launch five Professional Fellowships offered exclusively to Senior Fellows. The Fellowships focus on some of the most important issues of 2017 - voting rights, racial justice, civil liberties, healthcare, affordable housing, LGBT rights and state politics.
- NAACP Fellowship on Policy Research and Advocacy in Baltimore
- ACLU Fellowship on Policy Research and Advocacy with the ACLU of Ohio
- Virginia Mason Fellowship on Healthcare and Housing in Seattle
- Capitol Hill Housing Fellowship on Healthcare and Housing in Seattle
- Office of California State Senator Ben Allen Fellowship on Public Policy in Los Angeles
The five Professional Fellowships will take place across the United States –– in Baltimore, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Seattle. Senior Fellows will work with the NAACP, the ACLU, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Capitol Hill Housing and the office of California State Senator Ben Allen on issues critical to Humanity in Action.
The Professional Fellowships are paid opportunities and most have a duration of several months over summer 2017. The NAACP-Humanity in Action Fellowship, however, is a full year, salaried position.
These five opportunities signal a major expansion of Humanity in Action's programming for Senior Fellows. The five Professional Fellowships join the annual Pat Cox-Humanity in Action Fellowship and the Lantos-Humanity in Action, as well as the Executive Education Leadership Program, workshops and trainings and our annual Grants Competition.
Applications are due on April 10, 2017. You may apply for multiple opportunities using a single application form. The Professional Fellowships can be tailored to experience of the recipient, so we encourage Senior Fellows at all career stages to apply. Senior Fellows who have completed their Action Projects are eligible to apply.
