Humanity in Action is an international educational organization that aspires to increase the engagement of a new generation of social, cultural and political leaders with respect to diversity, human rights and social responsibility.
Since 1999, HIA Netherlands has organized the HIA Fellowship in Amsterdam for university students from the Netherlands, the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This program begins with a focus on the Second World War and then makes connections to contemporary issues relating to human rights and diversity in the Netherlands. The focus is on providing participants with the insight that individuals have the power to make a difference, even when confronting the most challenging issues.
HIA Netherlands also supports an active network of more than 100 Dutch Senior Fellows and organizes international educational programs for Senior Fellows from around the world.
